The President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog, has presented US Vice President, Kamala Harris, with a solar panel developed by Bar-Ilan researchers in recognition of her advocacy for environmental policy and support of green energy and reducing emissions.
Presented by President Herzog on his recent trip to Washington, the unique panel consists of 676 different solar cells composed of different materials that produce electrical energy from the sun’s rays. The panel was developed by Prof. Arie Zaban, a distinguished materials scientist and President of Bar-Ilan and Dr. Hannah-Noa Barad, from the University’s Energy and Sustainability Centre.
