An Institute of Hope
UK Campaign for The Jonathan Sacks Institute
In 2024 Bar-Ilan plans to open The Jonathan Sacks Institute. Reaching over 400 students a year, this ground- breaking Institute will bring together students, researchers and academics from different faiths, backgrounds and countries to learn from, and be inspired by, the remarkable work of Rabbi Sacks zt”l.
At a time when Israel’s democracy is under threat, we need this Institute more than ever, giving us hope and inspiration to build a fairer, more inclusive Israel.
Bar-Ilan have made a financial commitment to this Institute but more still needs to be raised. We are appealing to UK communities for their support. Your gift will raise awareness of Rabbi Sacks in Israel, helping us ensure his ideas become as influential in the Jewish homeland as they are outside of it.
Scholarships
Israel’s future will be shaped by the students of today. Bar-Ilan runs a multi-branched scholarship programme
Support disadvantaged undergraduate students and outstanding postgraduate students. Your support will provide deserving students with financial aid for books, living expenses and tuition fees.

Make a difference… leave a legacy
Deciding to leave a legacy is a sensitive and personal decision and we recognise that each person’s wishes and circumstances are unique.
You may have a particular area of research or education you want to support or you may wish to direct your gift according to Bar-Ilan’s most pressing priorities.
You may also wish to make your gift as a specific amount of money or a specific asset, or as a proportion of, or the remainder of your estate once family and friends have been taken care of.
