After 7th October, many residents of the south ran from their homes without their glasses or contact lenses. For soldiers, shrapnel, glass and other particulates in the eye can cause permanent damage.
To help, Bar-Ilan’s School of Optometry & Vision Science is now conducting free eye exams and fitting glasses for those in need from its mobile van.
