Since the outbreak of the war, the Bar-Ilan community has come together to support those most in need.
Community initiatives include setting up: an emergency hotline to provide emotional support for all Israelis; a mobile eye clinic providing eye tests and glasses to soldiers and evacuees from the south; a teddy bear centre to help children cope with wartime emotions; and a school for evacuee children.
